Clio Siebenmorgen is a Patent Engineer at the firm Peterreins Schley. Clio began her legal training with the firm in 2025 and is primarily involved in patent drafting and prosecution work, but she also collaborates on oppositions and infringement matters as well as due diligence and freedom to operate work.
Clio Siebenmorgen completed her Bachelor degree in Chemistry at the Leopold-Franzens University in Innsbruck after which she graduated with her Master degree in Chemistry at the University of Groningen focusing on organic and polymer chemistry.
She continued her doctoral research at the Biomaterials and Biomedical Technology (BBT) department at the University of Groningen in which she focussed on the interdisciplinary field of biomedical engineering by synthesizing and developing the next generation of smart biomaterials. In this context she conducted research on various projects, such as echogenic microbubbles, thermoresponsive nano- and microgels, and thermo-magnetic responsive soft robots. Furthermore, she gathered industrial work experience through multiple collaborations with industry during her PhD. Her research has been published in various peer reviewed journals and one of her research outputs was awarded at the World Biomaterials Congress 2024 in South Korea.
