Priv.-Doz. Dr. Dmitry Krimer is a Patent Engineer at the firm Peterreins Schley. He is primarily involved in patent drafting and prosecution work. Based on his in depth technical knowledge he is also assisting in due diligence matters and in litigation matters.

Prior to joining Peterreins Schley, Dr. Krimer’s research career included appointments at the TU Wien, University of Tübingen, Max-Planck-Institute for Complex Systems in Dresden and at the University of Bayreuth. He was also a long-term visitor at different Universities in US, Australia and Europe during his scientific career. Dr. Krimer obtained his PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Bayreuth and was awarded his habilitation degree in Theoretical Physics with university teaching credentials ("venia legendi") at the TU Wien.

His background is in quantum and nonlinear optics, non-linear dynamics in dissipative and Hamiltonian systems, soft-matter physics, liquid crystals, computational fluid dynamics in which fields he has (co-)authored around 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications including a number of publications in high-impact journals (Science Adv., Nature Phot., Nature Phys., Phys. Rev. Let), review articles and book chapters.
