German Patent Attorney
European Patent Attorney
UPC Representative
Felix is an experienced patent attorney and a partner of the firm. He has a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in semiconductor technology, optics, measurement technology and software – technologies he deals with on a daily basis.
His practice focuses on litigating patents, i.e., infringement, nullity and opposition matters before German courts and the European and German patent offices. He currently handles over 40 opposition and nullity cases and is actively involved in over 20 infringement cases, working hand-in-hand with the firm´s attorneys-at-law. Complementing his craft, Felix also supervises patent drafting and prosecution work before the European and German Patent Offices. Among others, clients turn to Felix´ advice early in the process when devising patenting strategies with a view to the relevant patent landscape and competitors. This is one of the reasons, why teams of the firm including Felix were able to contribute to worldwide settlements for clients worth hundreds of millions of US-$ in the last few years alone.
Felix has been appointed a member of the examination committee for the German patent assessor exam. Prior to joining the firm, from 2009 to 2015, he was an associate with Fish & Richardson P.C. This and the fact that the firm represents global players are valuable assets in understanding the mindsets of inhouse counsel dealing with true multi-jurisdictional disputes.
